Fund A Need
For the past thirty-five years we have been blessed to come together as a community in April. The dollars raised have helped us with a variety of projects and to meet expenses. This year we have a “new normal,” BABS will be hybrid with limited in-person attendance and we live stream the program on Facebook and YouTube on April 10 at 7:05 p.m.
The fund-a-need program this year will be dedicated to safety cameras and interactive smart boards.
Safety Cameras - BA needs to add outdoor cameras on our parking lot and behind and around our school building. Did you know that last year the BA Van was broken into? This year we have had several students have car break ins? It’s sad but true, by having quality cameras, we will be able to give detailed accounts of any attempts on school, student or faculty property.
Costs will be around $10,000.
Interactive Panels - the Smart boards in the classrooms are over 10 years old. Over time, the boards lose functionality and the image blurs making it difficult for students to read. We have some teachers operating with limited capacity and others with only a projector. In order to ensure consistent presentations of educational content at the highest level, we need to begin to replace these boards. The new Apple Panels will not even need a projector, decreasing costs and potential breakdowns. Multiple students can utilize the board at the same time and each panel operates like a large laptop! The cost for each Interactive Panel is about $4,000 - we are hoping to raise $74,000 - about 18 panels. https://www.smarttech.com/en/products/education-displays
